2. Information Collection and Use
When you create an account on the Website and use the Service we may ask for information about you, in particular:
your first and last names;
your e-mail address;
your telephone number; and
country of residence
Charterscanner may also collect non-personal information about your use of the Website and the Service, including your automatically determined geographic area, your operating system, identification of your hard drives, central processing unit, IP address, type of Internet browser, non-personal information from your connection to the Website for tracking purposes, information from your computer, software, and parts or portions thereof, including without limitation, your computer's random access memory, central processing unit, hard drive(s) and any other storage devices.
The information listed in this section 2.2 and in section 2.1 is further referred to as the "Information".
Charterscanner may use your Information for the following purposes:
for administration and improvement of the Service;
to personalize or improve the way the content of the Website is presented to you including use of your IP address to place cookies for some of our Services (please see our Cookies section below);
to measure interest in and use of the various areas of the Website as well as to view any promotions we may currently be running, rate trips, and to determine which features we need to focus on improving, including usage patterns and geographic locations to determine where we should offer or focus services, features and/or resources; and
to notify you of changes to the Service, including for troubleshooting.
Solely for the purposes addressed in section 2.3 above and in compliance with the www.charterscanner.com/terms, Charterscanner may disclose the Information to the network of private jet operators that you have chosen while using the Services on the Website ("Operators"). To the best of our knowledge, the Operators comply with the applicable data protection standards and rules. Nevertheless, Charterscanner does not accept any responsibility or liability for the privacy practices of the Operators and for the treatment of any personal data that you provide to the Operators.
Charterscanner may also use your Information, or a portion thereof, to send you marketing materials, newsletters or advertisements and/or information that we think may be of interest to you, unless you notify Charterscanner that you do not wish to receive such materials by contacting us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org (subject line: "Opt-Out Marketing Communications").
We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate the Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to process payment, provide customer support, to perform Website- related services (e.g., without limitation, hosting services, maintenance services, database management, web analytics and improvement of the Website's features) or to assist us in analyzing how the Website and the Service are used. For the above purposes, Charterscanner may pass your Information to third party parties, including web hosting companies, customer support specialists, data analysis firms, email service providers, and/or any of their authorized agents who provide the goods or services requested to meet your needs. Charterscanner may also provide your email address to vendors that it deems provide goods or services which you may need. Charterscanner will generally only keep your Information for as long as is reasonably required for the purpose(s) for which it was submitted.
3. Change and Deletion of Information
You can access your Information contained in the Charterscanner's database by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you believe that any of your Information is incorrect or needs updating, please let us know at the email address listed in this section. We will respond to your access request within 30 days.
Charterscanner will use reasonable efforts to correct your Information and our records upon verification of the requested change. If you no longer wish to receive email notifications about the Website and the Services, please let us know by sending an email to email@example.com and specifying in the text of your email which notifications you no longer wish to receive. In addition, within the text of your email, you should provide your exact name and address so that we can do our best to ensure that you stop receiving the notifications that you no longer wish to receive. After such a request is received, Charterscanner will use reasonable efforts to refrain from including you when sending such notifications by noting your opt-out election in our database.
If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your Information for any purposes or delete the Information from our database, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will retain and use your Information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
4. Protection of Information
Charterscanner makes access to your Personal Information subject to certain security measures, including technological controls such as "firewalls" or Secure Socket Layer ("SSL") technology in accordance with industry-wide, commercially reasonable security standards. From time to time, we review our security procedures in order to consider appropriate new technology and methods.
Please be aware that no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so while Charterscanner strives to protect your Information, Charterscanner cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information that you voluntarily give to Charterscanner at your own risk.
Charterscanner reserves the right to monitor all network traffic to the Website to identify and/or block unauthorized attempts or intrusions to upload or change information or cause damage to the Website in any manner. Anyone using the Website expressly consents to such monitoring.
5. Cookies and tracking information

If you are the parent or guardian of a child or individual under the age of eighteen (18), or (if otherwise) the legal age of contract majority, and have authorized such child or individual to use your computer, we urge you to instruct such child or individual never to give out his or her real name, address, phone number, email address or other personally identifying information while on the Website. There are no computer applications on the Website which allow for the determination of your age. If Charterscanner discovers that Information of a person under 18 has been collected, Charterscanner will take reasonable steps to delete this information. All information volunteered to Charterscanner will be treated the same as information given by an adult.
Charterscanner recommends that the Internet browsing behavior of any child or other individual user should be carefully supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
8. Governing Law and Transmission of Information
If you are accessing our Website from any location with regulations or laws governing personal data collection, use or disclosure that differ from the OAE's laws or regulations, please note that through your continued use of the Website, you are transferring Information to the OAE and you expressly consent to that transfer and any associated processing.
